What a great start to the school year! Our teachers, paras, secretaries, transportation, kitchen and custodial staff have welcomed the parents and students to the beginning of a new and exciting school year. The year has started out wonderfully with open houses for both Irle and Middle Schools. The first day brought excitement from the students, staff and parents.
I attended the start of the school year at the middle school, where teachers and staff broke through the banner as they were introduced to the Chicago Bulls starting lineup song. The students were broken up into teams of 6th, 7th and 8th grade students and together they were asked to create a dance and the top three dance groups won a prize.
The high school started the year as a group in the gym with Mr. Huntsman waving the Scottie flag and the cheerleaders dancing to the school song. Once the reintroduction was complete the students went on to their classes.
Our Irle school students gleamed with excitement as they entered the building and reacquainted friendships from a year ago and created new ones. The excitement continued into the classroom to meet their new teacher and classmates and begin the year of wonderful learning and new positive experiences.
At this time of writing we have had our volleyball red and white scrimmage, we will have our red and white scrimmage for football on Friday night and our cross country team will compete in Billings for their first cross country meet on Friday. Our volleyball team will travel to Choteau for the Choteau invite on Friday and Saturday.
As the staff, students and parents are getting back into the swing of the school year, I want to again welcome you to another exciting year and look forward to the school year!
