• Alert:

On September 18, 2020, the Glasgow School District was notified that a staff member had tested positive for COVID-19. The positive test was confirmed on September 18, 2020. According to the Valley County Health Department, the District’s staff and students were in contact with the staff member during the period of possible exposure. However, the staff member last worked in person-to-person contact with fellow students/staff at Irle on September 16, 2020, 2 days prior to the diagnosis.

If any staff or students are at risk of exposure, the Valley County Health Department will be in contact with that person to determine a safe and appropriate course of action. It is still recommended that any person who feels sick or ill, seek out their medical provider for specific instructions. The School District is in contact with the Health Department and reviewing the Centers for Disease Control guidance to complete cleaning the school and other related facilities. The other steps taken by the School District include temp checks, handwashing stations, sanitization of classrooms, and a deep clean of the room(s). Contact Wade Sundby for details about these measures.  School officials will continue to monitor the situation and will provide further information if and when it becomes available.

The Glasgow School District along with the Valley County Health Department will be reaching out to families involved.  Please follow the guidelines presented.  At this time we will not be closing the school or the district.  The classroom (s) involved will begin remote learning on Monday, September 21, 2020. Mrs. Erickson will be contacting those families involved.  If there are questions concerning remote learning please contact Mrs. Erickson at Irle School 406.228.2419.  For other questions please contact Wade Sundby at the central office 406.228.2406.

COUNSELOR CORNER

Hi everyone! My name is Nicole Boos and I will be serving as the new Middle School Counselor. This year has sure thrown us some curve balls but I want to stress the importance of social and emotional support. In order for students to succeed academically they need to be healthy on the inside. That’s what I am here for! Children are my passion and I specialize in mental health counseling. I hope that my experience and expertise will be a great addition to GMS.

Getting to know me….

I grew up in Wolf Point, MT.

I was the middle school counselor for two years and also the district therapist for one year for the Wolf Point Schools.

I love coaching and I was the head high school tennis coach for 8 years in Wolf Point.

My husband grew up being a Scottie and lived in Glasgow the majority of his life!

I have two little ones ages 3 and 5 who keep us busy and two step-sons who live in Bismarck, ND.

I look forward to getting to know the students, parents, and the community. If you have any questions or concerns my door is always open!

Here is to a great year!
