In short order, SB 92, the MTSBA School Safety Bill was noticed for a Legislative Hearing for this coming Wednesday, January 16, 2019 in the Senate Education and Cultural Resources Committee which meets in room 422 at 3:00PM on Wednesday.

The Glasgow Scottie Booster Club All-Sports Banquet will be returning to St. Raphael's Gymnasium on Tuesday May 29th at 6 PM.  ALL 2017-18 participating student athletes must RSVP at the High School office by Wednesday May 23rd!  This event is semi-formal.  Coaches and athletes are expected to dress accordingly.

Pennies For Patients Boxes

The month of February the JMG class has Pennies for Patients Boxes around town raising money for the mission of The Leukemia  Lymphoma Society to help find cures for Lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma.  All money will be sent in to them.

3rd-4th Grade Boys and Girls Basketball Skills to Begin

3rd and 4th Grade Basketball Skills will get underway at Irle School on the week of Oct. 9th.  The cost is $15 per child.   

1st Practices:

Karla Smerker from MTSBA notified Superintendent Connors of the Golden Gavel Award to be presented to the Glasgow School Board at MCEL in October.

MSU Northern Dual Credit

Online Dual Credit classes through MSU Northern start August 28.  Enrolled students check your emails and buy your textbooks before the start date.

Montana Digital Academy's  (MTDA ) enrollment opens August 21 and the course request deadline is the 29th.  If you want to sign up for MTDA classes come into the counselor's office during her office hours.

GMS Orientation

GMS will host an orientation for all incoming sixth and all new seventh and eighth grade students August 23rd beginning at 8am. 

GHS Freshman Orientation

GHS will hold an orientation for all new students and incoming Freshman on Thursday, August 24th.  Students will meet in the cafeteria at 8:00 A.M.

Mandatory Glasgow Schools Coaches Meeting

Glasgow Schools annual mandatory Coaches Meeting will be held in the GHS Library at 6:00 PM on Thursday August 10th.  This meeting is for ALL 2017-18 Glasgow High School and Middle School coaches.  (Including Head Coaches, Assistants, and Volunteers)

Pizza and water will be provided!  



6th Grade Beginning Band Lessons

There will be sixth grade beginning band lessons the week of August 21st-25th in the Middle School music room. Students are encouraged to attend to help them get ready for band which starts the following week. The schedule will be as follows:


Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, & Friday

9-10am flutes

10-11am clarinets

11am-12noon saxophones

1-2pm trumpets/French horns

2-3pm trombones/euphoniums/tubas

3-4pm percussion


Wednesday (schedule is different because of open house in the middle school during the morning)

1-2pm woodwinds (flutes, clarinets, saxophones)

2-3pm brass (trumpets, French horns, trombones, euphoniums, tubas)

3-4pm percussion

Mandatory Athletic Parent Meeting

**MANDATORY PARENT MEETING for ALL middle school and high school students planning on participating in sports during the 2017-18 school year will be held on Tuesday August 8th 7:00 PM at the GHS Auditorium.  High School Office will open up at 5:00 PM to accept mandatory athletic fees and paperwork.  Please arrive EARLY.  This meeting is for parents only.  Student athletes do NOT need to attend.**
